Why “Equity” Is the Most Dangerous Word in Our Language?

Something’s Gone Horribly Wrong

We all think we understand the meaning of “diversity” and “inclusion”. With our eyes cast to the ceiling, and our teeth firmly gritted, we endure those on the radical left endlessly droning on about the need for more appointments based on diverse city and inclusion, in preference to ability and competence.

Socialists and liberal types, shout these words from the rooftops, completely ignoring the fact that diversity and inclusion takes place naturally in the UK without the need for heavy-handed enforcement.

But Why Is Nobody Talking about “Equity “?

Out of the three words, “equity” is by far the most dangerous for the human race. Equity means equality of outcome, and that objective has already been proven to be extremely dangerous.

Equity in Politics: A Dangerous Pursuit of Equality of Outcome

Equity, in its political sense, seeks to ensure that everyone achieves the same outcomes, irrespective of starting conditions or individual differences. While this may seem ideal in theory, its pursuit often leads to dangerous consequences.

Equality of Outcome vs. Equality of Opportunity

Equality of outcome differs from equality of opportunity. The latter allows individuals to compete fairly while the former mandates identical results, often requiring forceful redistribution of resources. This approach fails to account for individual differences in talent, motivation, and choices, leading to inefficiency and dissatisfaction.

The USSR’s Tragic Experiment with Equality of Outcome

The USSR serves as a stark warning of the dangers of equity. In the pursuit of uniform economic and social outcomes, Soviet policies enforced collectivization and eliminated perceived inequalities. Wealth redistribution and forced labor systems destroyed productivity and led to widespread famine.

The Holodomor, a man-made famine in Ukraine, alone caused millions of deaths. Totalitarian measures to enforce equality resulted in tens of millions of deaths through starvation, executions, and forced relocations.

The Problems with Mandating Equality of Outcome

Humans are inherently diverse, with varied abilities, preferences, and circumstances. Enforcing equality of outcome denies this diversity, creating resentment among the population. Talented individuals may feel unmotivated, while those receiving unearned rewards may lose incentive. Ultimately, such policies erode social trust and breed division.

Why Equality of Outcome Always Fails

The pursuit of equity is dangerous because it ignores human nature and seeks to achieve the impossible. History has shown that attempting to level outcomes through coercive measures results in oppression, inefficiency, and widespread harm.

Instead, societies should strive for equality of opportunity, empowering individuals to succeed based on their own merits while maintaining fairness.

Could “equity” destroy the UK?

Just because a political objective has failed catastrophically in the past, doesn’t necessarily mean that another group of ideologically possessed politicians might not try the same trick again, in the belief that this time, they will make it work for the benefit of all.

In the UK, we have a Marxist inspired Labour Party as our government, until the next general election in 2029.

We Must Not Ignore the Warning Signs

During their first few months in charge, the Labour Party has shown itself to be a vindictive and ruthless band of ideologues on a hard left march to clamp down on individuality, capitalism and freedom of speech, while proclaiming they are doing exactly the opposite.

By removing the winter fuel payment from the elderly, giving away the Chagos Islands, and sowing seeds for the destruction of the UK’s food security by applying inheritance tax on our struggling farming community, these hard left socialists are frightening people and driving wealth creation abroad.

What Can We Do to Reverse This Trend?

Starmer and his talentless team have alarmed large numbers of reasonable people, who have organised protest marches, which are often met by two tier policing and two tier justice.

Having failed, during their 14 years in power, to unravel Blair’s damaging legacy of devolution and institutional restructuring, the Conservatives are setting off again with their umpteenth new leader. Their party is crippled with seemingly insoluble existential infighting. So we have no option, other than to look elsewhere for our salvation.

We ordinary folk still have more than 4 years of this dangerous mismanagement to endure until the next general election, so we must get ready to reclaim our country.

If they receive enough votes to form a government, Reform UK will rebuild the country brick by brick, to put the United Kingdom back on its feet again.
