Are Heat Pumps Effective in the UK?
Many in the UK are fearful of being forced to shell out many thousands of pounds to adapt their home heating systems, to meet the demands of politicians and climate change activists.
We are constantly told that getting the United Kingdom to Net Zero carbon dioxide emissions by 2050 is absolutely vital to save the planet and human existence from total destruction.
Is this really justifiable, and does it make sense?
Will taking out your existing gas-fired boiler and radiators, and fitting a heat pump, extensive insulation, triple glazing and underfloor heating, really achieve the climate change narrative currently being drip fed to us through the media?

The Bottom Line…
Even if Heat Pumps turn out to provide adequate heat, and assuming you have the space to fit one, why would you willingly rip out your efficient and flexible gas boiler and radiators, and pay tens of thousands of pounds to install a huge noisy contraption, replace all your windows with triple glazed units, and put in underfloor heating and extensive insulation?
Generous government grants might be available, but that’s more debt for taxpayers, which would have to be paid back in higher taxes.
And is any of this expense and disruption going to prevent floods in Bangladesh?
Will it prevent forest fires in California?
Would it mean our climate and weather will become pleasant, reliable and predictable, without any fluctuations or sudden variations?
I don’t think so…
So what’s the point?
